Apple’s Safari Browser Now on Windows
Wednesday, June 13th, 2007
Apple pulls another one out of their hat! The super charged browser previously only available on OS X is now in public beta for XP and Vista. Since it is still in beta it obviously has its share of bugs, but the future is golden.
The windows version has most of the features offered on the OS X version such as:
- Well designed bookmark interface
- Pop-up blocker
- Tabbed Browsing
- Auto form fill
- A nice RSS interface
- Resizable text fields
- SnapBack
- Extremely fast presentation
- Bonjour aware

The one feature that I could not find, which I use on my Mac’s, is the ability to sync bookmarks using my .MAC account.
In spite of the bugs associated with beta software, Safari is now my favorite browser on Windows systems as well as OS X.
The Cult of Mac blog has a good review on the product if you would like more information. For those ready to jump in and give it a try you can download the installation file at Apples web site.
